The Picture Pixie has the best job in the world! She gets to spend the day with a bride and groom on the most spectacular day of their lives! And when her brides look at their wedding albums and wipe tears of joy and ask in amazement, “Is that gorgeous woman really me?”, then she knows her job is done!

Advice to brides – Two pieces of advice to brides. Firstly when you are planning a destination wedding away from your home town. Don’t book a photographer just because he is from the town where your wedding is being held. You should really meet your photographer before hand and make sure you are both comfortable with each other. You’re going to be spending 10 hours with him / her, and they hold your wedding memories in their hands. Either go and meet the photographer or book a photographer from home and take them along to the destination venue.

Secondly, something to consider is having the bridal couple portraits done before the wedding ceremony. It really cuts down on the time the guests are kept waiting after the ceremony, you don’t have the problem of losing light, and there is that first moment between the groom and his bride when he sees her for the first time, that’s totally their own moment (with the photographer to capture it off course!) It makes for a much more fun and relaxed wedding day!
