Mountain Setting
Whether you plan to be on top or below it, a mountain backdrop will make for stunning wedding photos, with gorgeous views all round. Weather systems may be erratic, so you might want to plan a pre-wedding photo shoot with your wedding photographer on a day that is wind and rain free. Perhaps take along some props like an umbrella or a beautiful piece of material which will look stunning in the photos, but will also protect you from the unpredictable weather changes.
The most Iconic mountain rage in South Africa, the Drakensburg Mountains in KZN will be the perfect setting for your wedding photo shoot. Table mountain in Cape Town will bring your wedding photos to life with its ever changing moods, Cape Town is renowned for its windiness, so be prepared to batten down the hatches and bring extra hair pins!

Forest Setting
Nothing says whimsical romance quite like an enchanted forest wedding theme; you can have such fun with this photo shoot with the use of props, like fairy lights, soft floating fabrics and natural wooded embellishments.
Knysna is home to one of the most beautiful forests in the world and would be perfect for a forest wedding photo shoot. A great alternative, would be to arrange a photo shoot at your local Botanical Gardens, a forest scene would be easily achieved in these beautifully manicured surrounds.

Field Setting
If you believe that less is actually more, an open field would be perfect for your wedding photo shoot. A field landscape lends itself well to a dramatic, but beautifully natural result.
In South Africa, there is abundance in natural, untouched terrain; you would be spoilt for choice. Gauteng and the Highveld is famous for its grassland savannah’s, acacia trees and its dry stark landscapes.

Beach Setting
Is it your dream to get married barefoot on an untouched stretch of beach?
Sounds good in theory, but planning a beach wedding requires a bit more effort and time in terms of preparation than the more traditional venues, because weather, location and accessibility are all major factors to consider.
If all these uncertainties leave you feeling a little unsettled, then have a pre-wedding photo shoot on the beach and find a suitable wedding venue nearby for the actual ceremony.
When you think beach, you think of Durban, white sands, warm turquoise waters and a laid back tropical lifestyle, all great elements for a successful photo shoot.

Safari Setting
Have you always wanted to become one with nature? We love the idea of a safari venue. The wildlife (if you are lucky enough to encounter) coupled with a spectacular bushveld backdrop will definitely add a sophisticated ‘Out Of Africa’ feel to your photos.
What better place to have your wedding photo shoot, than at the Kruger National Park on the border of Gauteng and Limpopo.

Carnival Setting
Vintage carnival inspired photo shoots are very popular internationally. The food, the colours, the sounds, the crowds and the spirit of fun are all fantastic elements to include in the photo shoot.
Gold Reef City in Johannesburg would be a great venue for this, although technically a theme park, all the décor has been inspired by the gold rush times and the fairground would be an ideal setting.

Architectural Setting
Historical landmarks, classical architecture or gothic cathedrals, all make absolutely stunning photo backgrounds.
St George’s Cathedral, Rhode’s Memorial and The Clock Tower in Cape Town and the Voortrekker monument in Pretoria, are all wonderful examples of great architectural design that would add great interest to a wedding photo shoot.

Urban Setting
An ultra-chic city photo shoot might be just the thing, if you consider yourself to be an urban trend setter. Why not become man and wife on a skyscraper rooftop in the heart of your favourite city.
If you want a bird’s-eye view of Johannesburg, the 50-storey Carlton Centre is the place to go. Visitors to the centre can enjoy a panoramic view of the City of Gold from the Top of Africa, as the topmost floor of the building is known.
